this is a really great video. Thanks to those guys. They are really open minded and more proof that Black men are capable of loving us just as we are:)
Loved this video Miss lady! Nothing like hearing it from our brothas and two fine brothas at that. Thanks girl, love your videos and your sisters.
You ain’t neva lied…
If all BW woman went natural, black men wouldn’t have nothin to say. I think BW woman are just self-conscious and they feel naked w/o it. It’s ok. Aint nothin poppin unless the woman say so anyway so what can we really say? I been infatuated with dark skin since I was in the 6th grade. The love of short or natural hair came later.
damn the dude in the back is fine as hell
I do agree that he could have been a bit more poetic in his reasoning.
I personally don’t see anything wrong with it, but perfectly honest most black people are brain washed into believing that these things are Not attractive. Notice the guy in the backseat’s statement’s about him being a “Poet, and its his responsiblity to love natural hair.” also him referring to it as “Revolutionary.” it makes me wonder is he genuinely attracted to it or does it just fit into his lifestyle?
is attractive or has a certain way about herself, she will get her share of admirers. It is more based on looks and figures that is the ultimate determining factor.
do not like the to aforementioned features of black women? You can only relate as to your own experiences or those that have been passed on to you-Which is a minority few. If guys are not going for you or your female friends that possess these features, then there are other contributing factors for their lack of interest. I have a student from west Africa dark complexed and has a low cut fade-I am constantly admonishing my male students to leave her alone and to let her breath. If a woman …
I believe your view based on their looks and their affiliation to this young lady is subjective in nature. When anything is examined or critiqued it is done by those who have an intimate understanding of the nature of that particular thing. Their are men that are attracted to women with natural hair styles and are dark complexed. She did not say the entire black male population. Since you have not done a survey of the entire black male population-then what percentage of black men can you say..
Yea U are’nt gettin what I was trying to say. The point I was making is that none of the opinions from Those men in the video came as a suprise. I just felt that their views were a tad bit bias. I can’t do a poll on who’s the best painter and get views from only art students, because they already have a different view, cause they are educated on the subject more, and they are the minority. If this video showed more of a variety of Men saying they liked natural hair, it would hold more validity.
Maybe I am miss construing the point you were trying to make. How is a dark woman or natural hair styles exclusively appealing to the Neo-Soul, Anti-mainstream, Pro-Black male population. I am aware of a lot of men that are attracted to dark complexed women or women with natural hair styles. Speaking as a black man-we will get at any black female that looks good and has a body. That is real. Your hair style does not make you anymore attractive-if you are already in last place.
You wanna fight! BAM!! BOMMM BONG POWW CLUNK! Hehehehehe
I wear natural hair and I am a full supporter of it, so please fall back. You did not realize what I meant by the comments. I was saying that These men are no better than the men that are just into the long weaves, because these men come across Pro-Black Neo soul fans, which are not the majority of Black men. I just which she would have showed a variety. I bet these same man go crazy over a Dark sista, not because they truly love it, but its Anti-mainstream.
Love the video! Let the haters go check out the videos about why other races accept themselves.
Sounds like someone does not like Afro texture hair or the people who wear it. Man, don’t you just love your fellow “African descent” man. Most of them just refuse to accept themselves. Hmm, i guess God does make mistakes.
I feel like these Men speak so highly of it, because it fits into their lifestyle. U surround yourself with these men, but they are definitely a minority. Also why did he call it “Revolutionary” ? This makes me wonder would these men accept a woman with a blonde weave?
i’ve done my big chop abt 3 days go. my hair is extremly short. n da beginin i tried 2 grow it out. bt i grew impatient & jst cut it myself. no pro nu10 jst me. it came out gud. alotta ppl dnt undastand y. i did it 2 define myself. i had alot of trouble with self-esteem nd goin natural actually brought it outta me. wen i started goin natural i actually didnt have a choice. my hair broke out REALLY bad frm perms & coloring. bt i’ve come 2 luv it. dis vid actually put a boost n da confidence. thx!
wonderful video…keep ‘em coming.
Thanks for the video, I have been transitioning now for 5 months and I think I am ready for my BC, but my husband is not excited about it. My relaxed hair is past my shoulders, and I tell him that my natural hair will grow long too, as long as I take good care of it!
your hair is sooooo CUTE. I’ve been natural for 8 years now and sometimes I wana hide my hair and then some days I’m like I LOVE IT!!!. But for the past few months I’ve been on this rock of confidence of loving it
is your friend in the back single? lol! it was great to hear how they have embraced being natural and how some men look at the weaves and perms. I BC’d Apr.22/last perm January, and i wish i had done this YEARS AGO! i was scared too but just did it and there is NO going back!!
yay! thank you brotha for your loving and supporting words!
thank you sista!
Amen sista!
